Hi, sorry but it looks like you just have a dime that toned due to being exposed to either a chemical or the environment. I don't see anything wrong with it and it is worth 10 cents.
I agree. Environmental Toning. Not a mistrike, not rare and not a Mint Error. For the future post your coin questions on another forum such as Error Coins or US Coins here on CoinTalk. The General Discussion forum is for non coin related topics such as "What is your favorite fishing spot?"
I used to like Captree Basin (L.I.) but it wasn't so great the last time I was out there. Sure would like to do some fishing.
It's a real dime. "Legit" in the sense that it is legal tender worth ten cents. Looks like a regular dime to me. Just discolored. Moved this thread to the US Coins forum.

I could NOT do that! Striped Bass season started yesterday. Last night I caught and released 10 of these small striper Schoolies. They need to be 28 inches to be considered a keeper.
THAT there is environment damage, I don't see anything wrong with it and it is worth fileting.. Are they good eating or just fun catching those strippers? They get big...………were starting to catch Crappie now..
Now the thread goes all General Discussion after I moved it from there to US Coins! The resort I work for offers lots of fishing activities.
Not much can compare with striper action when they are corralling the shad at feeding time, at least in my neck of the woods...hot, hot, hot !
