On March 27, 2019, Representative Barbara Lee (D-CA13) introduced a bill to authorize the Treasury Department to strike a new multi-year quarter series of changing reverses honoring women’s history and the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which guaranteed a woman’s right to vote in 1920. The new program would begin after the last coin in the America the Beautiful Quartersseries, the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site quarter representing Alabama, is released in 2021.

An earlier version (H.R. 5308) of the bill was previously introduced by Representative Lee on March 15, 2018 in the 115th Congress.

Would it be by state? Or would it be a specified number of issues over a couple years?

Why can't we quit all this crap & just go back to honoring OUR COUNTRY, the USA, with iconic, ALL AMERICAN symbols. I would start with an image of the new Laguna Beach (yes, that california) police car...you know, EDITED political discussion the one that's actually going to be debated by the city council on Tuesday!:eek::rolleyes::D

Yeah, they could start out with reverses for the following:
    Maybelline Products
    Gucci Products
    YSL Products

    Just kidding, ladies!

You're funny. It would be better if they highlighted women's shoes. You really can't have too many pairs.

I've been wearing the same pair of "Shark" sandals since 1994. Women can't go 2 weeks:grumpy: with the same pair of shoes.:rolleyes::banhappy:

Sure we can. But we have to have many pairs in our closet anyways.

I don't see a reason to get riled up by this proposal, I don't see any harm in this case of identity politics. Also lets be clear, both sides of that Laguna beach case are doing the same thing, they're all to invested in such a pointless issue.

It's not coming back. If there isn't another commemorative series, the new reverse design will depict Washington crossing the Delaware. I would like to see that design in my lifetime.

At this point, I think it's a race to see whether we run out of politically-viable commemorative series ideas before the quarter becomes obsolete.

I’m okay with that as long as we get attractive coins and not more SBA or Sacajawea junk art.

Is the back of a dime an "all American" symbol?

OK folks , you are treading on political discussions and any more and you will have infractions. I realize we are headed for an election and every time, we lose members who felt they had to put such comment on this forum where they are not allowed. Go to Yahoo, there are plenty of such discussions!

We should let the Canadian Mint do colorized coinage of the World of Women’s Footwear. No flats, though.
