I do collect indian cents with errors on them, and i want some opinions on this very well worn cent before i take the plunge and buy it: Double struck or PMD?

Looks double struck, but being so worn it's hard to tell.

I'm concerned because it isn't very round (my other ones are more round than this one - but then again, they are in much better shape).

Maybe the "not very round" is due to broadstruck?

I don't like it. Personally I wouldn't get it. It is not eye appealing.

Yeah, it's mine. Just bought it the other day and posted it in another thread here as well. It is what it is. Low grade, but neat. Returns are fine if you don't want to keep it.

As I posted in the other thread, I think it is both. I think it is a legitimate off-center strike that has suffered post strike damage by being flattened as well, 180 degrees away from the off-center strike.

thanks for the feedback all! I had no clue it was a fellow member's. RE: Paddyman's comment, one of the interesting things about this coin to me is how worn it actually is. Like, how many times was this one-cent piece spent over being saved? I would have saved it - if I had a cent to spare, anyway.

If it weren't for that little part showing the denticles in the secondary strike, I would have assumed PMD. As it is, I don't know. It's certainly interesting.
