Well, I won this coin in the same auction, a 23 mm double dirham of the Ilkhans, ruler Uljaytu, dated 710H = 1310 AD and minted in Tabriz. Isn't it a beauty, too?
That is a magnificent coin, Pellinore Congratulations on your win. I think I ended up winning the AV Heavy Dinar Sultaniya Mint/ AH722 Abu Sa'id/ Ilkhans of Persia/ FDC. I had a AV Dinar from him, but it was a Anatolian imitation from same time period, NM/ ND. John
Great that you won that extremely beautiful coin, Panzerman! The silver coins of the period, if in the best condition, are usually not quite centered. The gold coins of the Ilkhans at that time were more carefully made.
I won four coins and I'm extremely content with all of them: quality and condition, and with the price. Hope to see more Parscoins wins on CoinTalk soon.
Me too, I just posted my second win Next time, hopefully, I will save some $$$ for a FDC Sasanian Dinar.
