Shame on anyone who would accuse Roosevelt of being a coward.

@Rando300 Is this your ebay listing?

If the dime looks like this in hand then its been gold plated or something like that. People create "special" sets all the time by gold plating coins and putting then in a pretty case.

If this is just the listing picture, then my bet is lighting. I can take a picture of a dime and get it to look like that with the wrong white balance and halogen lighting.

Either way it's worth a dime.

I've had all US coin denominations pass through my fingers that have been gold plated. Its easy and inexpensive to do. I actually gold plated a Kazakh Tinge for my wife. It was a standard circulating coin from Kazakhstan that we brought back after a trip we took to adopt my daughter. It only cost me 20 bucks to have a jeweler gold plate it and I think most of that cost was just because he could.

Without pictures it makes it tough. The only things I can think of that would make it yellow are, toning, staining or plating. None of these would raise the value over ten cents. If you can post clear pictures you will get more definite answers.

Gold plated coins are ruined coins. Nothing more. The TV salesmen made a killing pushing them a few years back.
