Shield Nickel-Complete Lamination

I recently purchased a Shield Nickel with a complete obverse lamination. Unlike my war nickel that I have both halves, I only have the reverse of this one.

It's actually considered a Split Planchet.

A lamination is more like parts of a coin.

 

I know that but I thanks for the correction. I was totally thinking of something else. I'm losing it. Surgery again on Wednesday.

Why would they remove the stint. Isn't the purpose to improve the flow ?

It's not a permanent stint. It pokes when I move, cuts and I bleed when I go. Hurts like you know what. The stint was between my kidney and bladder buts it's moved toward the kidney.
