Got my hands on some BU rolls today and found this cent with what looks like extra wheat tips on the reverse. The affected area is raised not indented. Appears to have some notches like the wheat.
Also, the coin has a clash by the neck like a DDO variety, and along the obverse edge there Are two flat spots.

    Thanks.

Hi there and welcome to CT. It seems like you're confusing some terminologies, so if you're going to wish to pursue error collecting, I recommend you read up on some of the major errors like clashes, DDOs, etc. www.error-ref.com is a great resource for this.
As for your coin, I see a die chip by the wheat stalk and likely another die chip at Lincoln's neck. The coin does not, in my opinion, exhibit a clash or DDO. The last photo with the close up of the rim might just be a rim hit, which you could tell by looking for displaced metal (which would make it not an error).

Hey. Thanks for the response and welcoming.
I’ve been doing a lot of reading, picked up a few books and was at my first show today actually. Even met with ICG and sent a bunch out for grading. Understand I have a long way to go though and appreciate all the help and patience.
My reference to the clash by the neck was confirmed with VarietyVista’s DDO on this coin (see picture). For the reverse marking in question I was thinking far away doubling (like we’ve seen with the ear). While I know this is a stretch, it looked similar to a near object and I hadn’t seen die chips like that before. In fact, researching this prior to posting I couldn’t find any markings similar to this.
Regarding the rim, there doesn’t appear to be any displaced metal. Just more of a squared edge in that spot opposed to the typical rounded edge. Will post more pics of that.

*clarification* I didn’t think this was DDO, just noticed that it had a similar marking from DDO-003.
I re read my original post and see how I failed to properly explain.
    Thanks again.

So if you look at the clash photo, you’ll see a single vertical line instead of an entire raised area, like your coin exhibits.

Also, there’s no such thing as “far away doubling”. I understand you’re just using that to express what you see as best as you can, but it’s why I’m saying you’ve got a bit of studying to do. The fact that it looks kind of a similar to the wheat stalk is purely coincidental. True doubling would be connected to the part that is being doubled. You can read up on die doubling in the link I sent.

When you post pics of the edge, show some from the side please, both straight on/parallel to the edge and angled from above and below the coin if possible.
