Does it have any value to it?

    Thank you!

It is not a Mint Error. The edge was tapped with a spoon or hammer. It's called spooning.

Very bored and also evil people do this to create confusion.

    it's worth 25 cents
although a vending machine might not accept it.

Check the edge to see if the reeding is still strong.

I agree with paddyman, it appears to have been spooned. Not a mint error, PMD. Welcome to CT by the way.

I'm just adding my 2 cents here. Gab might be onto something here. I'm not saying there aren't any evil bored people out there, hell there are some in my own faminly. But I looked at the Virginia quarter I have and it too has quite the edge around it and all my reeding is in tact.
Please forgive me if these pics are out of control, I'm not used to sending these pics through here yet. Virginia quarter.jpg redone edge.jpg
