Hello all, Meow was pawing through fleabay today and noticed a TPG holder that had a label that said the coin was number #xx of the greatest modern US coins. Meow has not ever heard of the subject before, so looked into it a bit. Meow was interested in the subject as Meow is a recent collector, and does not have very many of the older coins. So Meow can relate better to modern issues. From what Meow has gleaned from the web was, that was a book. And that it is in the forth or fifth edition now. And all the editions have a fair amount of changes to them. Why Meow says OR about the editions is, because Meow could for sure tell if there really was a fifth edition or not. So Meow wanted to ask if anyone knew if there really was a fifth edition. And where could one find a list of the top 100 for the forth and fifth editions. And if there was fifth edition, and it was of recent publication; Meow thought maybe Meow would look into buying a copy to leisurely paw through.

Thanks, but Meow has seen that list. Meow thinks that, that list is from the first edition. Meow was seemingly unable to find a list from the forth edition, or fifth edition if it exists. Meow did find a list for either the second or third edition, and the list was drastically different from the first edition. So Meow wanted to see the most up to date list. Information is grey on if a fifth edition exists. It is mentioned few times, but Meow cannot find a picture of it or link to buy it.
As far as I know, Scott Schechter is a co-author (of at least the first two editions) of the book and an officer at NGC. If you are a member of the NGC Collectors Society, you can contact Scott via PM on the forums. He should be able to answer your questions. But please, don't talk like a cat! Well Meow is not with NGC collector's society. AND, Meow is Meow. So they don't accept Cats there so...………….. Maybe Meow will look into buying a book if there was a fifth edition.
@MeowtheKitty from what I can find, there are only 4 editions (plus a separate volume called "Top 50 Most Popular Modern Coins "). Looks like they are due for a new edition one of these days. Meow will buy the next book that comes out, looks like it would be a fun read.
