I always have a hard time photographing this one,

1989 D XF-AU

This was a circulation find! Thought Unique, When you pivot this coin on its horizonal axis, beginning when the bust of lincoln is upright, on turning it 180 degrees the Memorial appears upright as well.

No one knows how this happened since the dies are keyed in and incapable of turning.

Yes, an amazing coin.....

Notice how on THIS coin, the bottom of the bust of Lincoln opposes the lettering STATES oF thereby not allowing them to properly fill the die.

Amazing.

 

I sort of hate to get rid of the 89D but that VDB proof up for auction is beckoning. So, first forty thousand gets it.

My Grandpa had a dozen rolls of wheats, after he died my Dad gave them to me. This was the first coin I pulled out of roll number one. While it may not be the best looking Lincoln I have, it is a favorite.

 

This coin gives me a chub!
