In God We Trust

    In 2009 they have to move "In God We Trust" to either the front or the back of the dollar coin. Its currently on the side. My question was, do you think that will have an effect on the value of the 2007 and 2008 dollars with it already printed on the side.

    No don't think so, they're still just modern 'metal alloy' coins which have a mintage over 100,000,000 for each president. Much like the 1976 Bicentennial Quarters.

    ''In God we Trust'' was placed on and off coins in the 1800s. I wasnt put there permanently untill the early 1900s. And it wasnt on paper currency untill the early 1950s. So I guess we can get by with or without it. Does God trust us?!! Thats what I want to know.

    The mintages of the '07 & '08 dollars will likly be the highest in the series. I doubt the changes will have any effect on values.
