    @Ag76 You should keep it.
    Venezuela had been minting coins like these silver coins since 1873. There are many variations, and many of the variations have Simon Bolivar on the front. The design by Barre of the Simon Bolivar bust is made after a drawing by Carmelo Fernández.
    These coins have taken on good numismatic (coin collector) value, especially for coins dated before 1925. After 1936 the composition changed from silver to nickel.

    I have one of them and cleaned it with hot water, in a glass bowl, aluminium foil and washing soda and it looks beautiful. :)

    Sounds like the perfect way to ruin a coin.

    Whoa, that's a really nice one! (Much nicer than mine.) And I believe it's a "better date," although right now I'm not paying much attention to that sort of thing. I'll be interested to see what it goes for.

    To be honest , when I decide to add a coin to my collection it's because I want that particular coin . Sure I'd keep it , it's a good looking coin .

    I agree with @Maxfli and @chascat: I don't see hairlines, I just see a well-circulated coin. I'd keep it.

    I'd keep it. I carry around coins like this in my pocket (one at a time, so they don't bang together). My guess is silver will go up and when it does, these make a handy, historical way to accumulate bullion on the cheap.
