No they aren't. PCGS and NGC have each graded over 40 million coins. Every company and thing on earth has an error rate. Their error rates are extremely low people on the internet just like to act like its significant because just like reviews people are a 1000 times more likely to write a poor review because they're angry than they are to say everything was perfectly fine

So, you haven't EVER sent a coin in to PCGS or NGC, but you know from typically crap photos online and goofball YouTuber videos that all of the no name "TPG's" grade more accurately than the top two? That makes a lot of sense. Send ANY MS70 from your great and wonderful NNC or whatever trash and see what comes back. Those graders over grade constantly in hopes to claim rights to requesting top dollar FMV on whatever given coin that it is. They also over grade so that new guys with ZERO knowledge look at PCGS price guides and think they're getting great deals by the handful. PCGS and NGC are the top 2 because they have too many people solely invested in the knowledge of coins working with them and for them, not just some idiot that read one book on grading and interpreted it in such a way that every nice coin is MS68 and up. ANACS is a different story mainly because they had smeared their own name under new ownership, but from what I see nowadays just don't command the same premiums. That doesn't necessarily speak for their accuracy. This is our first run in on this forum, but my impression of you is that you're a trouble starter and in all honesty I feel exactly like the people responding to you that you've apparently irritated for years.

Until such time as you submit coins to PCGS and NGC, you are totally unqualified to comment on their grading. Watching a YouTube video only proves you can operate a smart phone.

My overriding concern is that new collectors might actually take your opinion seriously and not recognize it for the blathering that it is.

Grouping in third and fourth tier companies (if that) as an equal to PCGS/NGC really is dangerous if someone new bought into that

    Quote edited out political

Absolutely no correlation to the political system. They rose to the top being the most successful and that success has continued as they have now grown to be world wide companies

I could give examples to back my criticism yet need the time. Remind me, I will show them if you're really interested.

I'm not at all because even if you posted 1000 coins that would be less than 0.0025 percent of what they have graded.

I lost interest when yelp was attempted to be used as a reason to not use them and 4th tier and lower grading services were named as equals to PCGS/NGC

You're like the majority in society. You follow the hype, power, fame and reputations of people. No wonder the majority of the public is shackled and duped without end.

Let me issue a warning in generals. If this direction of conversation reached political level , so one is going to violate the rules and won't like it as usual, but take heed and stay with coins and only bring is society as coin collectors~ none other. Jim

Yes, we all pass actually. Such a shame I'm going to have to unsubscribe to my own post, completely irrelevant to your nonsense, just because you can't find something better to do than choose to be ignorant and irritate everyone.

They should take what I have to say seriously. I look at coins everyday and many of them. I'm not blind. My level of perception is strong.

Why? It is an opinion and an opinion can be a good opinion if it is well studied and properly researched.

You have to be the most ridiculous, intolerable person that I've ever come across on here. The REPUTATION of any company is actually the most important thing in giving money to ANY business. The Hype doesn't exist because you either want to invest in the most marketable investment or waste your money, depending on that company's Reputation. The Power of investment is and will obviously be the almighty dollar(making that dollar is the ONLY point of an investment). They are Famed because of their overall positive return on that investment, based on their Reputation. You don't need a new coin video on YouTube, you need a book on economics.

You've already recommend more than one company I would never ever use and would even tell new people not to even look at their coins until they have more knowledge to be able to spot the potential issues many of them have.

Many of us have been submitting to PCGS and/or NGC for years and are well aware of the work they do

Do you own ONE single example of a coin you've purchased from a crap company turning you a profit? A mentionable profit. How many MS68-70's have you sold to maybe make $2 on that were still way below the same coin 2 grades lower by PCGS or NGC?

They rose to the top because they were the first two companies using slabs rather than certificates that put really significant money into advertising their product. And once on top they stayed there. (Their advertising budget is probably still well above any of their competitors.)

Innovation is part of being the most successful. Often times the most successful companies are one that introduced an innovation that had a huge impact on it's market

True, but neither PCGS nor NGC invented Third party grading or slabbing they marketed up the innovations of others. One thing they did have that was better than the others was their grade guarantee (They weren't the first to have a grade guarantee either.). The other TPG's limited their liability on their grade guarantees to a modest amount. Usually no more than $100, PCGS and NGC didn't.
