Such a beautiful portrait...so why did some ancient knuckle head drive a sharp weapon into the face of Roma repeatedly, apparently so upset with her that they missed the mark entirely cutting at about 7 o'clock, but particularly on the ear and under the eye??? (@Bing's image and then the best I've been able to get with my new phone)

Not that I am complaining. If not for the interesting ancient damage, I may not have gotten this beauty for the five and five peanuts I got er for!
Please post any opinions, after Gracchi before Sula, Pulcher or punctured coins of yours...or anything else you deem relevant.

Ps, thanks for the beauty @Bing!!!

    Thanks my man! Nice :snaphappy:
Did you ever ask yourself why they cut Roma up like a single girl digging into a tub of ice cream??

Yes, I've always wondered what happened, but I never imagined that it was done intentionally as you indicated. But maybe..

I love coins that show that they've lived. Nice coin! I recently received a coin with its own puncture. The hole is pretty glaring... but it allowed me to buy it for 1/10th of what it would have cost without it.

    Way cool @Ryro / ex @Bing !

Looks like this issue of Pulcher Denarii has had its share of issues! My Pulcher is a flipover double-strike!

WOW @Orange Julius , you got a BONUS with your Denarius! Mine doesn’t have that Bonus Lanyard Hole that yours has! Most of the Denarii do not have this. You should had paid MORE for that built-in feature! :)

Probably the culprit's grandfather was a Carthaginian.
