Besides the 1896 penny I found this past week, I also found 3 silver Quarters a silver dime 6 40% silver halves (1965-1969) another steel penny... but wait, this is the second one that's not lots of wheat pennies, a few like this one
This makes the 9th Indian Head penny I found in circulation. The first one was so beat up I needed a loop to tell what it was. These pennies I found in circulation or bank rolls
Picked this up on ebay today. 1889 Morgan Dollar. Not rare but rather "Purdy" to my old eyes. Supposed to be uncirculated. Hope it isn't just cleaned. $27.00 shipped. Figured it was probably worth that. Seller had a 100% positive feedback. I always check that. Just enjoying this great hobby on a budget.
What some of those may lack in attractiveness or preservation is made up for by the sheer coolness of you finding them "in the wild". Neato. Some of those IHC are surprisingly nice.
Found some more today in bank rolls... another silver quarter over half a dozen wheat pennies plus this one and an 1880 Indian Head Penny, although it is a little worn. It took 4 years to collect these IHPs, but now that's 2 in one week. When it rains, it pours!
