I'm attempting to learn the walking Liberty series and bought this one raw to send in for grading. While I don't know much about the series, this one has nearly flawless fields and has booming luster and I thought I'd give this one a shot at NGC to see where it'd grade. I paid $32 for the walker, and it'll be another $20 for the grading. So roughly I'll be into this one $55 after fees. If it grades MS65, I'll break even, MS66 I'll make a few bucks. Anything less than a 65 and I'm under water on the coin. So obviously I'm hoping for a 66 or better, where do you grade it?
No expert on these, but I believe the sun is considered a grade sensitive area. I'll opine a 65. I wish you luck!
It has been quite a few years since I was on the NGC forums, but there used to be a retired dentist whose username is "Supertooth" and his specialty was Walkers. @ldhair - is Bob still around? Chris
I think 65. Looks to be enough chatter on the leg, a ding on the sun and light field disturbances to keep it from going higher. Luster looks nice! Good luck with the submission. Let us know the result.
I have not seen him in a while but I only check in there every once in a while. The last software change killed the site. I could see the coin going MS66.
