This is silly but since today is February 29, 2008 and if there was a coin show today because it is Friday, Could they still say it is an Annual Coin Show?

I am at the Baltimore show right now and it is an annual show. They generally schedule the shows by weekend of the year, not the actual date.

Good question, but I think Wms is right in that shows are most likely scheduled by day of the week versus day of the month. In fact, I'm just getting ready to head up to the annual Coin & Stamp Expo in Laughlin, NV in a few minutes.

I'll go ahead and play Devil's Advocate here, and state definitively that this is ABSOLUTELY NOT an annual show, but rather a leapling show. Furthermore, they are gravely misleading the public as to the actual frequency of the show, and it should be shut down and it's promoters severely reprimanded.

Couldn't the argument be made that as long as it's once a year it's an annual show ~ so if it's a 3 day show I imagine "1" of those days is close to or on the same day as last year.

Or, it is an incorrectly unjustifiedly un-annual coin show. :D Except I guess it is just easier to say Annual coin show, saves ink when they print the posters, but it is incorrect IMHO. :D Good question though. :D

Good point BUT, if it is a three day show and an annual one, then the one that spans leap year is only an annual two day show with an extra day thrown in on this one in four year accurances. For years without the leap year extra day, those shows are in fact acvertised as a annual three day show and that is incorrect since this year is only a two day show with an extra day added due to leap year.
    :hammer:
