I'm new at this and am wanting to send in a few coins for grading to ANACS. Where do I go to buy the coin holders to ship them in the mail? What kind is best to buy? I live in Arkansas if anyone could help I would appreciate it. TY

First, what are you wanting to send in to grade? Do you know that it would be worth it to pay all the grading fees?

Well IDK I figured since its a 1970 quarter that looks and sounds like silver but has some copper in it I'm curious to see what they say. I have let others see it and seems as if no one knows exactly what it is. I DON'T KNOW anything about this stuff just now trying to learn and I have a NICE 1960 penny (red) that is a pretty coin but I just don't know what to do about this quarter...… You think I'm crazy too??? LOL

First post picture of your coins here. Full front and back. Make sure to have good lighting and the pics are in focus. Then use an app to crop the photo to the edges. After posting some very good folks will look at them and let you know if they are good enough to warrent the cost of grading fees. Good luck!

Yes, you are crazy, but that means you'll fit in well here. Welcome to CT. Mostly a coin's value should be a couple of hundred before it is worth grading. Much cheaper to post some pics here and let us take a stab at telling you something.

Saflips for submission coins. Google around for them, it varies where they are the cheapest as it depends when you are buying them

Please post photos of both sides of the coin and provide the questions you have, state the area of concern or why you believe it should be submitted. We may be able to help save you some money.

    Welcome to CT.

    Welcome to the neighborhood!

Just because a coin "looks pretty good" for being 50-60 years old, does not mean that it is worth grading. I saw your photo of the obverse of the '70 quarter, and it is definitely not worth the submission costs.

JP's Corner is located in Missouri, and they have a wide selection of coin supplies.

"Hearing" is a poor test. Show us the edge.

1964 was the last year that business strike quarters were made of silver. It is very unlikely that it is silver. Can you post a photo of the reeded edge?

Thank you for the photos. Your coin is not silver, it's clad and worth face value.
