Hello. I have 1 dime Roosevelt coin from 1981. The obverse is normal with "d" under the image but the reverse is reversed by 180 degrees. Can someone tell me the approximate value of the coin and where I may sell it, if necessary?
Thank you very much for your help.

American coinage is made so that if you hold the coin at top and bottom with your fingers and turn it over, it should have an inverted image on the other side.

Its worth what it says its worth- 10 cents.

All US coins have this alignment. Your coin is a completely normal dime.

Actually people here don't mind less than perfect English although they might tease about it. What country are you posting from? Do you collect coins from your country? What kind of coins do you collect...and BTW welcome to CoinTalk.

Welcome to CT. If you are interested in US silver coins, they were minted until 1964. After that, other than some special collector issues pieces they are all clad.

Yes, as stated before, US coins are minuted in coin alignment and most world coins are minted in medal alignment. I have a modest collection of modern Polish commemorative coins. I love them because the Polish mint often plays with different shapes, holograms, inlays, finishes, etc. All of the ones I own are silver as well.
