aus1934a.jpg aus1934b.jpg Little gemmy Austrian crown, about the size of a Taler. Bazillions of them available in AU, nice looking UNCs more scarce than you might think.

Here's a crown from the 17th Century. Teutonic Order, Maximilian of Austria Thaler, minted in Hall.

Coin arrived today. Weight 28.06g (should be 28.28g, barely in 1% tolerance), diameter is right, edge is right, but failed the ping test. Taking to LCS tomorrow to get a second opinion, but I think this one is going back. Drat.

Bermuda 1964 crown. It's a shame about the obverse, but the reverse is nice!

Yes, I checked with numista, CN. There was a silver one, but not this one. Still, a right handsome coin.

Picked these 2 up for my crowns collection. I have found it difficult to locate attractive examples of these and was thrilled to pick up 2 of them.

It is indeed. Of the coin-pandering jurisdictions, the Isle of Man has some of the better designs. And the coin you have actually depicts and honors a Manx subject.

I mostly concentrate on sovereigns but also collect some UK, Russian (Rouble), Austrian and German crowns/thaler. Here are some of my crowns/crown sized coins:

    Elizabeth Rouble 1761 СПБ-ЯI AU53 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C19c.4, Bit-293 (R1), Diakov-557 (R1) Petrov 15 Rub., portrait and eagle by Ivanov.

    1761 Rouble AU53 Obv.jpg

    1761 Rouble AU53 Rev.jpg
Obv. Crowned and draped bust of Elizabeth right. Rev. Crowned double-headed eagle, holding orb and scepter, with date above. A bit softly struck in the centers, with mottled reddish-gray patina over underlying luster. Minor flan flaws. A rare offering.

    Anne Crown 1707-E VF35 NGC, Edinburgh mint, KM526.1, S-3600, ESC-103.
    1707 Anne Edinburgh Crown Obv.jpg

    1707 Anne Edinburgh Crown Rev.jpg
This crown was produced shortly after the Act of Union in 1707 united Scotland and England. Though adjustment marks are clearly present, particular across Anne's bust.
    From the Jamestown Collection

A toned piece, with an underlying light golden luster especially on the reverse. Some scattered contact marks on Anne and before her face.

There it is, the 1934 wreath crown! I kept wondering when you'd post it. ;) A beautiful rarity.

 I like that updated take on St. George and the dragon in the 1935 crown. And the Waitangi crown is another super-rare one, especially in proof. The mind boggles.
