    Welp, i thought I'd be just getting, or concentrating on 3 coins this year, but seems that ain't happenin'..and it's all good to! :). I've been wanting a coin of Sabina purdy much since I've been on here(and possibly even before 9_9).. This just came in today and it was won from an auction of @alde's

    well, from what i've seen of most of his figures, he has wings...him.( Amor) and Eros...

    me also Doug...right now i'm looking at a Matidia with the hairdo as such..but i'm leary of it for fear its a fake...

    A nice OP coin, I do not have the Vesta Reverse for Sabina.
    I do have one with the "fancy" hair that I like very much!

    ..i just looked up a gold coin of this type..it's not a winged figure. he's holding something in his hands on either side..a spear and a shield.. learn something new everyday :)

    "Veneri Gentrici" on my Sestertius can be translated as "to Venus the mother".
    A hope that would not come true for the empress with a husband like Hadrian...

    Very nice! I still don't have a Sabina with a Vesta reverse. Most of mine have the shorter SABINA AVGVSTA legend, too. Here's one with the longer obverse legend such as yours. These early 2nd century denarii circulated for decades. I'm sure it's impregnated with pagan altar smoke, gladiator blood, centurion sweat, and olive oil.
