I’ve been considering the purchase of a 1969 $20 note on ebay, but did not want to pay a premium. Today, surprisingly, I received one (whenever I withdraw money from the bank, I ask them to throw in any old 20s they have). Not bad condition for over 40 years of circulation. (A-A block too!)
Nice circulation find. I’m guessing this note didn’t circulate for 40 years. It probably sat idle for quite some time before re-entering general population.
That's cool how that worked out. I haven't seen an old-face $20 in circulation in I dunno how long. Saw an old $5 a while back- turns out it was a 1934!
