Think I may have found something very unusual yesterday, can you tell what it is?

Its already sold so what the heck is it?! good price for a bustee. Is is some kind of rare variety?

 

OK I'll ask, what's so unusual. All I see is a curl base 2 1827 bustie.

Good, you've ID'd the fact it's a CURL BASE 1827 which is part of the mystery, anything else? Granted, you've gotta be into this sort of variety collecting to fully understand.

Do I see a clash on the rev ?

 

Is that a small dot on the eagles beak for an O-148? To me the separation from a to arrow head looks large like in my picture.

Yeah, better pictures. And I did just notice that the 2 on the 148 is not the curled 2.

 

The milling looks too strong for an o-147, and it definitely isn't an 0-146. Very interesting.
