Thanks! And then I couldn't believe what it was worth.

This is the story of my first Hamilton half dollars...

I was travelling for business and stopped at 4 banks. Not much until the last one offered me 7 rolls. 4 held nothing, but the wrappers of the other three were promising:

Hamilton halves! Well, that's news to me. I kinda figured this was some other crh's joke, so I was hoping (but not expecting much) when I spilled the rolls:

Wow! My first "Hamilton" halves! 48 ninety percent silvers total. Another 9 forty percenters. Some of the Hamiltons are BU!

    About 18 ounces total!

The teller was so glad to get rid of the doors she let out a cheer as I left...

Awesome CTRH! That is the best silver haul I have seen here in a long time. Makes me want to go "hit all my banks" today, lol! Those BU "Hamiltons" look juicy!

It was a lot of fun. I need to put the best ones in 2x2's...some have full mint luster.

Picked up 3 Loomis boxes of halves yesterday, none had enders so I was pessimistic. But Box #1 was very good yielding 20 silvers (9) 90%ers, finally breaking me out of the doldrums.
    2 x 1964
    7 x 1964-D
    3 x 1966
    2 x 1967
    3 x 1968-D
    3 x 1969-D
Interestingly, no NIFCs, proofs, etc. I have 1 more box to pick up today. Hoping the trend continues, HH!

Again, I am amazed folks are still finding silver (especially 90%ers). Good haul!

Box #2 (from same bank as Box #1), gave up:
    2 x 1964-D
    1 x 1966
    1 x 1968-D
    2 x 1969-D
    1 x 2018-P NIFC

Box #3 is next (different bank).

Picked up 600 in halves yesterday morning. First time in a long time. What did I get for my effort?
2000-S Impaired proof and nothing else. Oh well, was still a fun search.

    Boxes 3 & 4 were skunks. :hungover:
I did find (30) 2002+ NIFCs and (1) 1974-D DDO, but it had major “ring around the collar” (roll end crimping damage) so I threw it back. HH!

Box 1 of 8 boxes of halves while on vacation yielded no silver coins, but a few, mostly impaired, proofs including a commemorative, and a worn gold-plated...I’m satisfied!

Boxes 2 and 3 of 8 yielded 3 more impaired proofs, a ’67, and a pretty significant greaser. I consider the greaser my best find yet :) 529B9412-6288-442A-B79D-890336134ABD.jpeg
