So is there a way to differentiate between a business strike and an SMS coin? Die markers or just the eye appeal or finish of the coin? This seems to be a business strike to me but I have limited experience looking at these.

Finally got one of these beauties. 1997 P SP70 Jefferson Nickel! AD74AB0A-B313-40D4-95F7-3D678CABEC6B.jpeg 73DBA6C4-3370-4F8F-9AE6-8B64C072B587.jpeg

I am currently searching for one, too.

Only 25,000 of the Botanical commemorative sets were made, and they were the only source for these special strikes, so there aren't many of these satin finish beauties around. Maybe some people have an interest in the dollar coin or two dollar bill in the set, but I bet it's the nickel that people buy the sets to get.

70 's are rare most come out 69's....I had and still have the 94 and 97 sets two of the lowest mintages in the series!
Best I ever could get grade wise a 69. I have several raw graded in set.Hopefully one day the values will increase. I've always felt those 2 underrated coins.
    Nice catch on the 70....
