Hello everyone. I found this in a lot that I purchased. It's marked as a 1938 D/S. I've pulled up the pictures of the D/S and for the life of me I think this MM is just smashed. Possibly a D/D? What are your thoughts? The photos are about as clear as I can get them. IMG_7057.JPG IMG_7054.JPG IMG_7056.JPG IMG_7058.JPG

There are a few diff. dies with the D/S, but
I don't see anything inside (or outside)
of the worn MM on this piece.

Thanks @paddyman98. I wasn't seeing it. I wouldn't have picked it up if it were listed for sale individually. They had $ 4 on the 2X2 however I didn't even see it in the lot so bonus I guess!
Thanks @Fred Weinberg. I thought it was too worn as well.

I think it's just mushed also. with a Buffalo standing on it all these years cause that's a heavy animal!

Since the punch was done by hand/hammer I've read, many seem to go in on an angle which distorts the mm somewhat. Jim
