I'm thinking of cracking and sending to NGC or crossing... Think they'd star or details it?

If you have the expendable funds
Go ahead and try perhaps they could conserve it.
While in the process of crossing over It my clean up a little and even look better

How much does conservation run? May not be cost effective.

Think again. I'd leave as is and be happy about it.

I'm guessing you're pulling our legs while slapping PCGS. There ain't no fixing zinc rot.....

I think it's a 63. I was looking to get it into a different TPG holder.

It's either leave it in the PC slab or cross my new nickel to PC. I want matching slabs for this set I'm working on and I'd rather leave the nickel where it is with the "star".

I think it is with out a doubt cleaned and AT.
Why would you spend money on a mistake by PCGS.
The coin should have never been holdered in the first place.

I have another cent that is raw but needs conservation that could work for what I want...

Ditto to all of the above!

Keep the "Star". Look for another Lincoln. It would be much cheaper!

I think NGC would call it UNC details questionable color.

Every time I read new comments on this I go back and look at the photo. No one has said it so I will. It looks like a urine stain Cent to me. Leave as is, be happy and find another coin to make the set you're working on.

I can't see how this would pass straight as red/brown. I suspect some environmental mayhem after it was first slabbed. Like left on a windowsill. Respectfully, I would not want this one at any price, let alone trying to cross it over which I don't see happening w/o a details or a body bag.

Respectfully I'm going to throw out a rude comment? Lol. Respectfully, I never asked your opinion on what you'd buy or not but, respectfully.

In my opinion, no need to send it for re-grading. The toning on the 2004 looks suspicious. If you do re-submit it, you could manage to get details, but probably not a star.

I was referring to your 2004 D and was not trying to be rude. You are looking for a matched set. This one is not one that I think anyone would want for this purpose. It's damaged with zinc rot and been cooked and no amount of conservation is going to cure it. Sorry if I did not answer the way you expected. I'll try not to be so honest in the future.
