1958 wheat penny

Found this wheat penny roll hunting. looks like someone just turned it loose to the wild.

Cool find! Good condition for a 60 year old coin. Unfortunate that they don't have much value.

 

The oldest wheat that I have found roll hunting is a 1910.

 

I think my oldest was 1944 or something like that. I always keep Wheaties just because they are cool.

 

1944 is my year of birth.

nice find. i would love having that in my folder. my oldest found cr hunting is a 1934. but my oldest wheat cent is 1918

 

the oldest penny recently I've found is I think a 1938.

Since I hoard all my change, at various times I'll take the pennies and put them in containers broken down by the decade. Quarters are split between 98 and later and everything else just is thrown into ammo containers.
