The Krause Standard Catalog of World Coins, 2001-Date, 12th edition This major catalogue does NOT contain any entries for MYANMAR (Burma). Is there any explanation as Myanmar has issued new coins since 2001! Any way to pose this question to the publishing company?

CAMBODIA coins. The Krause Standard Catalogue of World Coins. Ref. gold coin issues, the catalogue does NOT contain any reference entry for the following coin "Cambodia gold 40 Riels 1990" Reference points for the coin: date imprinted on the coin vertically to the right of the dancer and the word APSARA printed vertically to the left of the dancer. Reverse of the coin has the standard logo for Cambodian coins.

This Cambodia? Maybe because It was minted in Cuba?

Thanks for your input but this coin is not the same. Same denomination by different image of the dancers.

They were from the 1940s and 50s and seem to have much more value than the price guide would indicate. I know I sold a few of the doubles for $17 each, when I think the entire lot cost me $7. Here's a few examples.

This Cambodian coin (dated 1990) is NOT listed in Krause so not possible to find any catalogue reference point. A relatively small and obscure coin therefore chances of it being counterfeit is nil. Anyone have any suggestions on how to find information on this coin issue and possibly an explanation why Krause does not list it?

Interesting. It looks a lot like this 1990 issue from the Cuban mint: https://colnect.com/en/coins/coin/4...1990_-_Peoples_Republic_of_Kampuchea-Cambodia
But obviously not the same coin.

In is interesting that none of the the Krause Standard Catalog of World Coins, 2001-Date have any entries for CAMBODIA. None! Hard to believe that the Cambodian gov't has not issued any coins, circulating nor commemorative, since 2000. Any plausible reason for this omission.

I have a 2010 edition and it has a Cambodia section.

As for your specific coin, Krause does make mistakes. My 1801-1900 edition completely omits the series of Swiss 10 rappen coins from 1880-1900. You can probably assume that the mintage and values for your coin are the same as the other 40 riels listed, which seems to be from the same series.

Found a link to a book of gold coins "Gold Coins of the World - 9th edition.." that may have it. It lists two gold 40 Riels dated 1990, #11 & #11a. One listed as "Folklore and dance" and the other as "Temple dancer". Unfortunately there is no photo of the dancer. Same value for both.
