I found this 1984 D penney one day when rolling up some penneys. Looked funny not sure why, so I set it aside for 6mo. Did some resurch and I believe it's crack all the way around behine in God we trust and you can see distortion from the back side

it's actually a ridge formed by a worn die.
Not a Die Crack nor fractured die.
    And it's Pennies not penneys

I seen a penny that same year, the rim gave away on die and had all kinds of extra material from that line out. And it sold for $17,000 of course after getting it certified minted tho. I'm thinking it's from the same die but before it gave out

Oh really? Was it on Etsy?
You should post yours and sell it for $18,000!

You need to get it certified first. Let us know when you do that. Try NGC

Mr. P, do you think this guy has a relative on CT? Does he remind you of anyone?

@Doug morris : Show me the link to a completed sale. If you can't, it's all BS.

No! There should be a forum on another planet where we can send them to "Eternal Dumbnation".

Sorry but I'm just going thru Google pic links trying to find something like it. I'm glad I've made you laugh, thought this is a place for advice. But I'll make a note that this is a place to get put down and not for advice...

If you come here to seek answers but then you don't accept them then this is not the place for you. I don't care what you saw or think your Cent is.. it is NOT a major Mint Error. It has no premium. It is only a worn Die Strike and it is not a $17,000.00 coin!
I have been collecting Mint Errors for 34 years now so take my advice or not!

To bad he's not showing the back side cause I could make any coin have that halo on one side but leave tooling marks on the other side. Or temp marks. Plus mine is 4yrs older

So what! I'm 29 years older than you. Big deal! You make a ridiculous comparison to a $17K coin and you can't even give us a link to it. You expect us to take you seriously? Give me a break. Why don't you move over to BoobTube? They'll believe anybody.

It is kind of like ebay.. There are a lot of coins on there that people claim are rare or mint errors and try to sell them for thousands of dollars. They are usually damaged or just normal coins worth face value.

Here is an example.. just like the cent you have - https://www.etsy.com/listing/659964...h_query=mint errors&ref=sr_gallery-1-46&cns=1

It is just a worn Die Strike.. it is not worth $125.00
It should only be worth face value! 1 CENT
