I stand by my comments. Unless you have a large quantity of coins for melt, you won’t get close to melt Silver value. Moreover, anybody who thinks I was being serious about the coin being worth only 50 cents is trolling, and being obnoxious, themselves. Newbies need to learn that high mintage, circulated coins have no intrinsic NUMISMATIC value. How many of you naysayers have had bulk silver actually melted? Y’all talk a good game, but I would venture a guess that the answer is NONE.
You are 100% wrong. You can go to any coin shop or silver/gold buy and sell and get $4-$5 for every 90% Kennedy half.
You don't have to get close to melt right now to get significantly more than 50 cents, but hey why let facts matter right You've now tripled down on your statement and continue to get more hostile for being called out on your incorrect information. So you just want to give them false information to teach them a lesson? Get off my lawn right?
Absolutely, if someone cant figure out how to get more than 50 cents for a 90 percent silver kennedy well........
I kinda wish that we had kidnapped Marianne from France and put her on one of our coins. I think she looks kinda sexy. Chris
I do like a lot of what they have done along with other countries. That full figure style is always more flattering than a huge head on a big coin

Newbies need to learn that high mintage, circulated coins have no intrinsic NUMISMATIC value. So, if you weren't being serious, were you trying to be misleading? I don't think there is any coin shop/dealer in the United States who would not buy the most worn 1964 Kennedy for more than face.
I’m sure there are some who would try and rip someone off, but to make your point I doubt that any would sell one for face Junk silver is very easy to sell over face as a collector with any sort of knowledge
Then if you have nothing constructive to say don't respond with negativity. Sometime people come here for insight and gain a little knowledge that they might not have. My grandfather always said if you have nothing nice to say, then do not say anything at all.
I recently bought a couple 64-Ps in pristine BU condition for $8 a piece off ebay, shipped. That was too high of a price for current silver price and how common they are but for what I wanted them for, I don't have the patience to sit on a 7 day auction to try to get one right at melt. Which currently is about 5.75 each plus likely shipping on top of it anyway...
