Really had no need for it...I already own several examples of the die marriage...just can't make myself pass them up. I think I may have a problem.

1872 s MPD -002 V-5 bottom of 2 in gown , the realistic cause of these MPD's are dropped date punches. The weight of the punch dropped would only inflict minimal damage on the obv. Working die. So small fragments of the punches number would be more likely. 837,000 mintage # of working dies obv . 4 rev. 4.
I found these in bank rolls today at work. I find Wheat Pennies all the time but this is probably the nicest one I've found And this one I found in a roll of nickels, never seen anything like this before thought it was pretty cool
Raw, thought about dipping it out though. Amazing strike, still has good luster. Maybe a coin for NCS? Crusty original
