I think you got a good deal. I paid $24 for a non-encapsulated American Silver Eagle. You paid around $4.5 over spot price for each coin.

Eh. I don't know why Lance Armstrong would be considered an "American Hero" or what he has to do with ASE's. Kind of a random autograph. I wouldn't have paid more than the normal premium for an ASE for these. Just my 2c.

I love Legos. I don't build them though. I only own them

Agree. Though I build as well. All under the guise of doing it for my son. We are currently working on the Star Wars Super Star Destroyer :)

I still have some some Legos from the 1970s. The figures are real strange, though. They don't have faces or arms..., or separate legs.[IMG]

I agree. He is not an American Hero but he does still have a decent fan base. That has to add something to the value

Personally, I would just buy the coin (not the autograph).

The same reason people call other elite USA athletes and Olympians a hero

He cheated though. Definitely not a hero in my book.

 sure thing. Did what everyone else was doing but he's cheating sure. Hate to break it to you but the Mayans gave their runners amphetamines before races. Anyone who thinks this was something knew has no understanding of sports. The guy accomplished a lot, would I call him a hero no, but beating cancer and doing that yes that is inspirational period

Just because everyone else does it doesnt make it right. Yeah he accomplished a lot and his cancer survival is inspirational. I just dont think he is anyone to look up to if you are looking for a “hero”. :)
