So, I bought a roll of 2000 to 2008 proof quarters. All are 90% silver. One of the quarters looks to have a die crack about the Diamond on the reverse. At first, I thought it might be a scratch, but it seems to be raised. Do you guys feel there is any value in this coin?
If you're talking about the area below the "836" in the photos, it's not a die crack. It appears to be a 'struck thru' error - a random piece of the planchet from another coin was on the surface of the planchet when it was struck.
Since these are silver proofs, be sure to check the 2005 KS SQ for the "die dent" on the rump of the buffalo. The CPG lists it as FS-901. Chris
