    Something really cool has happened!

I have a small blogging website, and I blogged about a unique Philippine one Peso note that I purchased some time ago. Well I don't want to spoil it so read the blog, and then read the first comment after the blog !

sorry about that, guys, it is my hosting service, their mysql server has allot of trouble . I am about to give them a boot and move on to a new service. They seem to have fixed their problems now it seems to be working again.

I had a phillipines one peso not very similar, it seems that a lot of navy folks as well as Air Force were doing this at the time. My note has signatures from the aircraft mechanics on mine. I wish I would have never sold it. =(

Pretty cool! I think that would make me want to send the note to the guy for his family.

This saga is still unfolding, that may happen. I will be updating this story as it progresses. I am supposed to get a photo of him in front of the Birmingham. and more information.

Speedy beat me to it, but that's my exact thought.

What an amazing stroke of luck to have this gentleman see your blog.

I want this to work out, I am talking to him, and getting a history now, and I agree it should be in the hands of his decedents, it will mean allot more to them. I want to get a cool story out of it when I am done. I cannot say how this will end yet, and I don't want to speculate. But I believe it will be a very neat experience.

I would try to get the item in the hands of his survivors. (Decedents are people who have died.)

You are doing a good thing. His family will truly treasure this piece of history created by him.

Reading that story again made me think of the $2 note I have known as the Battleship note.

So I checked out the histroy on this note and found out it was the U.S.S. "New York" fitting for my collection, but I thought it may have been the Birmingham....

It was worth a shot! :smile

Maybe I'm the one breaking it. Went to check it out today and get this "The page cannot be displayed".

Thanks, I am beginning to think that startlogic (my hosting service) is not a good as i once thought they were. I am really getting irritated with them. I am just resisting change because i would have to move my content that is in mysql tables.

Ok, I have tracked this backwards to the point where it left his hands. I am not reveling all the info yet, but I have more comments from the people who received the bill from him. This is developing into a saga. Stay tuned !

This could turn into an interesting article. Would be nice for the family to not only have the note, but also an article to go with it.

I am anxious to read more - sounds like this is going to be something you'll never forget. Hope it has a nice ending!

This story would make a great article for the Bank Note Reporter. You should contact David Kranz at BNR about this. Here is his email address: david.kranz@fwpubs.com.

Or even better, the rest of us could also drop a note to help show that there would be interest in reading such an article.
