Looks to be a VAM -6 VAM-8 VAM-11 I just purchased this Morgan and im not familiar with morgan varieties. Im just looking for confirmation and a possible value - grade??
I don't think so. Keep looking. By the way, you'd need to show us both sides if you want someone to estimate the grade. Chris
looks like machining on the date that would add no extra value and I believe this coin is selling for about $35 in excellent condition. around $20 I'm thinking for this one, but I am am far from being any kind of expert.
You suggested VAM's #6, #8 & #11. I don't see the doubling on the "1" for #6; I don't see the doubling on the first "8" for #8, and I don't see the doubling in the correct place for the second "8". Maybe I'm blind, and @messydesk might be able to help you. He knows a lot more about them than I do. Chris
The pictures of your coin are not of a high-enough level of detail to be able to discern anything about the digits. If what you have matches the VAM 11 pictures, then you have VAM 11. Unfortunately, this is one of those varieties that doesn't have a premium, since it's a very minor variety and there's not a lot of interest in it.
