    Davedawg,

You are now a currency junkie.
Next you'll notice it piling up and go into denial.
    There's no real cure.

Now you'll have to change your name to LuckyDawg. Last time I saw that many stars I was outside looking up.

Always nice to see a new currency man Dave and you are right it is saving money.

I look at it this way. I've put a lot away over the years and if I absolutely had to most of it's spendable. It's actually doing so that is rough.

Teller didn't know a Franklin half? Buy them lunch - most people understand food ;)

It doesn't matter what a book says. You need to call around to every dealer within reasonable range and get quotes. It only matters what they are willing to pay.

If you live near Chicago, you can also hit the Chicago Papermoney Expo next month and ask every dealer at every table until you get an offer you like.

    Gatzdon is right.

This is where paper, especially modern, can get tricky and frustrating.

What you have is a large amount of high denomination notes. Doubtful that most dealers would be overly interested in more than one or two as, unless they have a ready buyer, it just sits in their inventory.

Book value is $175 but if a dealer would give you $105 - 110 I'd most likely take and keep a few for myself. That way you still have a few and would actually have less than face invested in them.

I know this from experience. Ran into a ton of $20 star notes - more than I could afford. Offered a bunch to a dealer I know at $23 each. Great price he said but can't afford to have them sitting in inventory.

Do some digging and good luck.
