  1. looking at some coins for a friend, his dad passed them down to him. a rather large box, all circulated coins from around the planet. trying to estimate this one but need help it is not an "S" and except for what appears to be yellow paint it has a proof like finish and in good condition. so would 10$ be close? thanks for the help. 1927a.jpg 1927b.jpg

No, way too high . I would say closer to 25 cents or so. A nice low end uncirculated coin would be around $10.

You have a lamination error on the obverse.

  8. the friend i'm going through the box for is an avid you tube watcher and some of those sites have him confused him on actual value and rating of a coin, so our discussion lead me here.

  9. the box contains some nice coins but after watching a couple of you tube videos he thought he definitely had a monetary valued treasure not just a collectors value.

  10. I'll post it later in errors to see if everyone agrees and if it adds value. Thank you.

    Where?

No need to do that. We are looking at your Cent in this thread.

In front of his face and chin. It's pealing. And behind his head looks to be a lamination crack.

  20. thank you again I'm a collector so I personally keep all coins. I have sold a couple in the past and miss seeing them in my collection and i have a collection of errors that i find rather cool.
