After going through all 500 coins last night, it turns out it was actually 255 Peace Dollars and 245 Morgan’s. Most were in exceptional shape, some didn’t fair too well. Here’s some pics of a couple of the better finds so far.....
Nice. Glad you are taking your time. Enjoy the designs and the history. as I mentioned in the other thread this may be handy https://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/dollars/morgan/ The 1890 CC's have a weird variety (higher value) with a bar at the bottom of the feathers. The one's you have don't show that. but become familiar with that chart and the other links that were given. .. you're gonna make a lot of Morgan collectors drool on their keyboards ... @Dave Waterstraat
looks like loads of fun.. heres more info..http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compute.amazonaws.com/wiki/Home
Very nice. Some good key/scarce date Morgans, too. I like Peace dollars, so how about some photos of them, too? As others said - you've got something all collectors dream about.
Yes, I’ll be sure to post some Peace dollars this evening, and I’ll tag you to ensure you see them. Wish i could post them all lol
Long story short, my wife’s grandmother passed away in December. She told me about a coin collection in her safety deposit box before she passed away. They belonged to my wife’s great grandfather. Major plus is my wife is the only grandchild! They were all in a canvas bean sack in the safety deposit box, and finally got them home last night.
