Agreed, the rules for the star designation preclude any coin with toning approaching terminal. The entire obverse of that coin is terminally toned. And even if the obverse was untoned, the reverse toning still wouldn’t be good enough to deserve a star.

I think the Cent is attractive and eye appealing. It's similar to the Capped Bust Halfs posted earlier in the thread. The coin is nice for the series, but the colors aren't what I'd consider star worthy. No star

Next we change it up with a world coin. There is a video here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BnFKNGKgM-R/
I'm on the fence. Close, but no star. If it was a bit brighter and more vibrant, I would have gone the other way.
@TypeCoin971793 , love that Cent! It doesn't have enough luster to star, but that die crack deserves a star on its own!
That coin is beautiful and deserves a star. I wish that people would look past toning breaks that don't negatively affect the eye appeal of the coin. The toning break on this coin gives it extra character IMO.
I disagree. I find the toning breaks distracting, and I consider them a negative. And thus, I vote no star. I agree that, otherwise, the coin is very attractive.
I tend to agree. There are distracting breaks, like the Morgan below that I used to own. However, this Swiss coin wasn't distracting in hand. Like you said, it had character (maybe not quite enough for a star though).
