Yes, 1352 in the Islamic calendar roughly corresponds to 1932 in the Western calendar.

I'm not sure why you say "allegedly" it is made of silver.... it is definitely silver.

The coin is somewhat common in circulated grades (although most of them have been cleaned or have problems) - it is extremely hard to find in high grade attractive Uncirculated such as I have shown here.

Yes, I did say the Moroccan coin was "allegedly" silver. That doesn't mean it was not made of silver. The word has something to do "without proof". But now, physics-fan3. 14, I am 130% convinced that the coin really is classy ! Definitely !!! As for numbers, they were minted in huge numbers, which we can easily look up - and that would, allegedly, make them rather common.

 

I'm curious about the slab. It looks almost identical to an NGC slab. I know they have sole production of these. That's what's making me second guess.

 

I believe the similarity is intentional, but I don't see anything particularly suspicious about it. You could order a few thousand of these slabs and inserts from China yourself, if you wanted to.

 

Looks legit to me. Grade is about right. However, the slab won't add a cent to the value of the coin here in USA. Quite right about it being a condition rarity, as are all coins from northern Africa and the middle-east back then. Since any kind interest charged was viewed as usry in these Islamic countries, there was virtually no banks or any other intermediaries to facilitate commerce. Everything was done in cash, with the coins of the realm all circulating very heavily leaving anything in this kind of condition rare regardless of massive mintages.

 

Well, for anyone curious, I submitted this coin to NGC and it came back as MS-64. This was better than I was hoping for, but is definitely a fair grade.

 

I would be very happy with that outcome. Kind of interesting that a Russian grading service (or at least there is what appears to be Russian Cyrillic on the label) would use English for the denomination and country of origin. Presumably there is a Russian word for the country Morocco:

Congratulations! Did you take some pictures outside of the plastic before you sent it in for grading?

 

This russian grading company seems fairly legit....they even have a decent cert look up. I've seem many russian/foreign dealers with this slab.
