    Many thanks for your generosity.

I was only recently reminded of the joy of coin collecting when on a rainy Sunday afternoon in January I dusted off several 1-cent Whitman folders, ejecting the contents of each into a velvet whiskey bottle bag, and set them before my stir-crazy seven-year-old son. Honest-to-God truth, he was popping pennies into that blue cardboard like a pro within 5 minutes and turned to me to say, "Daddy, I love this so much, I don't think I can stop". As you might expect, his new found passion for numismatics lasted all of 30 minutes, more or less, but it was time well spent nonetheless.

Definitely graffiti, and most likely done with a sharp knife or the point of an awl. The edges of the scratches might have raised metal on either side, simply because it got pushed up as the tool gouged the coin.

Always cool to find a proof in circulation. Some hairlines are to be expected when they've been "out in the wild". Nice "rescue"!

Great find! It has that original Depression-era style. Modern hobo carvings tend to be more elaborate and are usually more artistically advanced. In my experience, the old-time originals tend to have a slightly primitive look like that, and seldom stray from a relatively simple reworking of the Indian (hats, and so on), though sometimes the buffalo is carved into a standing figure.

Now that's cool, and I would not have understood the significance of the design, though it seems obvious once you mentioned it.

What a bizarre and interesting item! I once saw an old leather bound pocket diary from the Civil War era that came into the coin shop where I was working. The written content inside wasn't terribly interesting- I think it might have been someone's account book rather than an actual diary- it just had some figures in it and such. However, what made it interesting was that there were pencil rubbings of coins inside, and one of the coin images that had been rubbed (so firmly that there was an impression of it left in the paper) was the reverse of an 1853 Arrows & Rays quarter.

The 1558 Lithuanian coin (Prize #1 in the OP) arrived yesterday. I opened the package and had a quick peek at it. However, I was in a hurry to dash off to work, and was in a rather dark room, so I have not yet taken a proper look at it. It looked good in the quick glimpse I had of it, though. Perhaps I'll add some more photos of it later.

Thank you for being one of the benefactors of this giveaway. But, I don't understand this coin about "In Time We Lost" Identity 2020. Can you explain in a few words? even in a private post? I'm intrigued.

I found this photo doing a coin search on Bing search engine. It is not mine. It is not a coin. Looks like someone did it on a copper sheet from the back. I was interested in the saying and the year.
