This is why I would not buy an "unopened" GSA CC, I have heard that there are new boxes available but here is one that is supposedly original and ready to be resealed https://www.ebay.com/itm/264190860424?ul_noapp=true
Darn, I could have been selling all of those Amazon boxes instead of putting them out free for recycling.
Do they mail that box to you inside another box to prevent damage? Or simply seal that box, and stick a label on it?
gotta have that box to charge a 600% premium (see his other offer): https://www.ebay.com/itm/1890-CC-GS...m=254073883269&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982
Something similar - Although it has no bank name printed on it, still, coin rolls that have been made up and closed with a coin roll paper crimper machine could be enclosed in a box such as this and then sold as being in a 'sealed' box. The possibilities for fraud are endless. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Roll-Stora...t4P1:sc:USPSFirstClass!11355!US!-1:rk:49:pf:0
That box doesn't look 40 plus years old...how do you know that was an original box that a GSA Morgan came in?
you don't, but scroll down the OP eBay listing and you'll find instructions for re-sealing the box with a heat gun, perpetrating the deception - sleazy stuff indeed - check back for the high bidder on the box and avoid anything he tries to sell
