I have seen a lot of doubled dies and this could be one. I would send it to one of the grading companies or at least have a local coin expert take a look and see what he or she thinks.

I have seen a lot of doubled dies and this could be one. I know there are literally hundreds of lesser known examples of this type of doubling in the lincoln series. I would take it to a local expert and have him or her take a look.

I would guess that fewer than one in one thousand "local coin experts" know anything about doubled dies.

Don't start spreading bad advice on the day that you joined CT - this is what a doubled die cent looks like - no magnifier needed ;)

Die deterioration, not a doubled die.
