That is dried adhesive on the surface. It was attached to paper or wood.
    Not a Mint Error.

    Your poll makes no sense.
    No need for a poll.

I voted for 2 because I’ll be damned if I’ll let the 2s win.

So you can vote for both 2s to keep it well balanced, or, in essence, you voted for 4. :)

I voted for both 2s because I could, plus I'm on the fence about that poll

I thought you had to be at least 95 to vote.

The coin has been damaged by glue. Not an error.

I voted for both twos as I didn't want the other two to win.

    Welcome to CT.

    2. Definitely 2. No doubt in my mind I voted right.

Cool effect on that penny. I might have to glue one down to a board for a few days and then pry it up to see if I get the same result.

In fairness, you may already be aware of them, as well as getting or having a Yeoman Red Book.
And, when you post pics, the best way is to post clear, focused full images of both the obverse and the reverse, plus a close-up of any area you are asking a question about, such as "doubling on the schnozz of Lincoln".

Enjoy your research and welcome again...Spark
