2003 Illinois quarter is all dark colored... Is this an error coin?

    Hi I have found a 2003 Illinois Quarter that is really dark...when I looked it up I only saw 2 coins that were exactly like this. The article said if it stay under the heat to long when being made it kinda burns... I'm new so please be a little nice... But is this for sure a error coin?
