Hey guy's here are the 2004 $20 NY Notes from the BEP.... Also a $50 Richmond and a $20 Cleveland I picked up...nice notes all GEM Just wanted to share with you all... RickieB
Hey Spock... Last Saturday.. I ordered at 12:01 PM the day they went on sale... RickieB.. I was hoping to get a repeater..missed it by 6 notes It would have been 00001717 Dang!! RickieB
i ordered them in Novembe rthe entire subscription and they still havent sent it to me. I hope they havent lost it in the mail.
Can someone verify for me the actual printed notes of the $50 Richmond posted above. I have 2 books one showing 64,000 and one showing 640,000...I know errors occur, but just want to get it right! :thumb: Thanks in advance.. RickieB
very nice note RickieB. i Agree - the repeater would have been nice - especially with such a low serial
RickieB I've seen it in two different places as 640K. Sorry - I'm sure 64K would have been much better. Best Regards Darryl
Darryl is correct, according to this site http://www.uspapermoney.info/serials/f2001_l.html the production number is 640 k. Lou
Hey Lou... Yes I am aware ..the RedBoook for currency has it at 64,000 and the Schwartz/Lindquist (8th Edit) has it at 640,000 as well as last yeras S/L 7th edition... I was just wishing that it was 64,000 I suppose.. None the less it is a nice note to have and I am happy I got one from the BEP before they sold out that week of issue. Regards, RickieB
BQ ... Thanks for taking a peek... Craig...those notes sold out from the BEP in 2-3 days max...I really do not collect many Small Size from other FRBanks except New York...but this one...well I think I'll keep it for the long haul... RickieB
nice notes rickie! :thumb: the serial number is very low. it being that low is rare to find, and even more valuable in UNC. like he has.
Thanks Coinlover.. Hello Ruben... Well what Coinlover said is basically it. These note are very new as the BEP just released them a few weeks ago. They have 10,000 notes from each (12) of the FRBanks that have the lowest SN available in GEM uncirculated (unless you get lucky and find a bank with them). For me the attraction is the NY Fed Reserve Bank since I mostly collect NY notes. Take a few min and navigate to site via the link at the bottom of my post...you will see the collection there. Other than a few Large Size, some Fractionals and Obsoletes, you will see NY Notes. I am trying to assemble the notes from 1914 thru current from $1 to $100 in nothing less than AU..including stars! Big task and I am severly under funded for this daunting task. 2 years ago, I thought it was doable..the stars (early stars 1928 and 1934 are hard to find an expensive) That about sums it up Ruben... Hope you come over to the paper money side.. RickieB
