Hi, Interesting Medal. I like it. It appears to be some type of Commemorative medal Awarded in 1906. Here is some info for you. https://translate.google.com/transl...ia.org/wiki/Heinrich_Adolph_Meyer&prev=search
Here is a half dollar token, from the El Casino Freeport in the Bahama's Ya never know what will turn up in a bulk bag from the LCS. The owner mentioned that somebody came in and sold him this one token that was left over from a trip there in the 80's
Posted this in another thread but it fits nice here too. Found this online at an antique dealer's listings at a decent price while doing research on another merchant token. I assume it is bakelite plastic.
Popular obverse on everything from silver and gold bullion rounds to tokens with assorted patriotic sayings on the reverse
See these for sale a bunch but have not seen any definitive explanation of the source. Some sites indicate that they seem common in the San Francisco area although that info may be from the same source..
Some "pees". I think the top one has "precious stone" on the obverse with a denomination of 1 Pai on the reverse. The second one has a denomination of Fuang. The side with the dark characters would be the name of the hong or gambling establishment.
9th Street Cafe (Newport, Kentucky) Good for 5c Aluminum, M/A, L30mm x W25m, 1.5 grams-- if it was any thinner it would be a razor blade. I wonder how many trade tokens are out there with the number 9 as part of the address?
