I came across the same error coin about two weeks ago. I'm kind of a novice when it comes to the errors, but the doubling on my is very clear. You refer to it as a 'clash', and I would have called mine a double die. Is there a difference?
A doubled die results from doubling on the die (die was made with doubled details) a clash is from the dies hitting each other when a blank isnt fed to the dies and transferring details from one or both dies. This is a simplified explanation.
We would love to see your coin. Try posting an original thread with pictures of both sides. We’ll be looking for it. Larry
