81969 S triple die. Or ddo , mechanical?????

So my lovely fiance brought home a gift . A 1969 S ddo . I unfortunately am not sure .i getting thrown off by the WE which almost looks triple die. But then theres the number 6 in the date which is odd . I belive it has so.e kind of die clash ? Not sure .

That is a normal 1969S Lincoln cent.
Did you even check it against what a DDO looks like?

 

its more of ending our disagreement of what it is . I say its mechanical she feels it a ddo and explian the w

 

I see nothing with the W. I see something minutely doubled on the 9 and the MM.
MM were hand punched into the dies. A MM wouldn't be doubled like the date or any other device. What you are seeing has to be mechanical.

I see nothing but a normal Cent with maybe a bit it Deterioration strike.

 

Just to make sure you understand..
A doubled or tripled die is not a double nor triple strike.. You do understand this right?
